Why does the date change in moonphase watch not take place at mid-night precisely?Depending on the model, our timepieces have various different types of date change. For example, the automatic enjoys a jumping date mechanism that changes at midnight (+/- 15 minutes). Quartz calendar watches see the date change at midnight (+/- 30 minutes). For date watches, may we remind you that as a general rule, no adjustments should be made between 8.30 p.m. and 3.30 a.m.

Maintenance advicesTo ensure that your watches enjoy a long life, they must be cared for and serviced regularly. The care you give your watch ensures that it will continue to meet your high expectations throughout the years. For automatic watch: Winding your watch movement manually We recommend that you wind your watch every day in order to supply the movement with the power it requires to run effectively over the following 24 hours. We recommend doing this even if you do not wear it every day. You can tell that your watch is fully wound as soon as you feel resistance within the crown. Please note that you must not try to wind your watch beyond this point of resistance, since this may cause the motor spring to snap. For automatic watch: How are automatic watches wound? We recommend that you wear your watch every day, so that the movements of your wrist can wind your watch progressively as you go about your activities. If your watch stops, we recommend that you wind it up by turning the crown a few times to get the movement working again. Maintaining leather watch straps in optimal condition Leather is a delicate and sensitive living material that requires particular care and attention. To preserve its qualities and conserve it for as long as possible, we recommend that you avoid the following situations: contact with water, exposure to excessive humidity, which may deform and discolor the material, prolonged exposure to sunlight, which may have a harmful effect on its color and quality, cosmetics and oily materials, which can stain the leather, which is a permeable material. Maintaining metal bracelets in optimal condition In order to keep your metal bracelet in the best possible condition, we recommend that you clean it every six months, if you wear your watch daily, in the following way: rub the bracelet with a supple brush soaked in soapy water. Then rinse it carefully in fresh water and dry it using a soft dry cloth. Do the same after swimming in seawater or a swimming pool. In addition, to reduce the effects of wear, we advise you to keep your watch fitted close to the wrist.
